callum12 256 #1 Posted November 28, 2014 (edited) hi all, i far as I'm aware a 'synchronised gearbox' means you can change gear whilst moving? no sure though! anyway, is the peerless 648 transaxle synchronised? i believe it to be the 648, though it does have hubs, instead on keyed axles. as a side note, where is the oil filler and drain plug? and how much oil do i put in it? thanks for any help given, Callum Edited November 28, 2014 by callum12
Racinbob 10,276 #2 Posted November 28, 2014 I'm not familiar with a 648 transaxle Callum but I'm confident is saying it's not synchronized and you don't want to be shifting while moving.
Racinbob 10,276 #3 Posted November 28, 2014 (edited) There's a manual for it that you can download in the manuals section. Edit. I just looked at the manual and it's just a parts list. Edited November 28, 2014 by Racinbob
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 10,496 #4 Posted November 28, 2014 Search the manuals for 600-series and some service manuals come up. Garry

callum12 256 #6 Posted November 28, 2014 found just what i needed, except where the drain plug is, thank you very much. it says not to change gear whilst on a hill or under load. i'll still stick to stationary gear changes anyway no need to change gear whilst on the go really. thanks again, callum
