jessejohn 0 #1 Posted October 21, 2014 Greetings all, I have a work horse LT-1100 that will only run with the choke on. Any suggestions?
oldredrider 2,547 #2 Posted October 21, 2014 The carburetor is DIRTY! Remove it from the engine and soak it in carb cleaner...does a world of good.
Geno 1,928 #3 Posted October 21, 2014 Most of the time that is it.
jessejohn 0 #4 Posted October 21, 2014 I noticed I little oil under my cylinder head when I moved it the other day. Any chance it could be the cylinder head gasket? The carburetor is DIRTY! Desko 552 #5 Posted October 22, 2014 Only if its OHV but in that model its a flat head unless someone changed the engine so no but it could be coming from the breather or the carb and leaking down and dripping from the head

Live4outdoors 151 #9 Posted October 23, 2014 Before you tear the carb off try the easy remedy, mix 50% marvel mystery oil to 50% gas and let it get to the carb and sit for a day or two and then try again, that will often loosen the dirt and gum and you don't even need to remove it.
