skrusins 128 #1 Posted October 21, 2014 I have a 321-8 mod 3112K801 that the bearing flanged no.109189 on the steering shaft elongated the dash causing it to wobble. Has anyone has this problem? Is there a fix? The flange is just above the collar. I didn't know if I could slide something in there Thanksto tighten it up.
can whlvr 991 #2 Posted October 21, 2014 there are different ways to solve this,i installed an angle iron cut in half, and then shaped to fit the shaft with an angle grinder and bolted in
Don1977 604 #3 Posted October 22, 2014 There is a fix, but it isn't easy. Check out Martins "416 adventures......." page 8. You will have to remove the steering wheel and steering shaft and part of the hood stand to install the bearing part no. 6472.
N3PUY 1,031 #4 Posted October 22, 2014 I used the JB WELD that comes in a stick. You kneed it with your fingers and pack it in like PlayDoh. It gets hard as rock in minutes. Just pack it in the hole around the bushing.
skrusins 128 #5 Posted October 22, 2014 Wow! Thanks to all of you. All three ideas are great. I might try the JB Weld first and save the other ideas if that doesn't work. Thanks Again you are all Great!
