Yes it is, but I would still check the manual for your tractor to see what is recommended.  I have 90wt in all of mine.  :)

I do not have manual for any of my tractors but i have been putting 80w90 in all of them just wondering if it will be fine in them

It will be fine, if not the perfect oil to use.  If you do not have any manuals...there is a manual section on the main page on this site where you can download and print them...or just take a look.  :)

It is recommended to use SAE 90-140 A.P.I. Service GL-5 Gear Lubricant in your 8-speed. However, considering that most transmissions end up having a mix of water and oil in them from rain or condensation, any new, clean gear lube such as 80/90W will be fine if 90-140 is not available.  :)
