Stigian 1,234 #1 Posted October 19, 2014 Hi Guy's and Girls, as I'm not really going to have much to report project progress wise for a while, I thought I'd start a Workshop moving thread Though saying that I don't have much to show you at the moment.. Shelves are getting emptier... While packed boxes are starting to stack up.. A wheel barrow and a trailer load of scrap metal waiting for collection... It's amazing how much rubbish can be collected, and I'm sure I will find more as I dig deeper And just to pad this out a bit, I even managed to get most of the lawn cut today.. Quite possibly the last cut I will do here..

Stigian 1,234 #9 Posted October 26, 2014 Looks like you've got your work cut out for you Ian... hopefully a bigger "shack" awaits you on the other end. Yes, you might say life is a bit busy Craig.. And yes a bigger workshop awaits at the other end It was always amazing what came out of that little shack... I've enjoyed watching over the years There will be plenty more to watch at the new workshop i know the moving house feeling did it recently, good luck on the move hopefully its quick and easy sort of the opposite to mine!! . james Thanks James.. Easy it is not, but quick it is.. Or will be when done.. It's the end of an era , will be sad to see the shack go It will be sad to see the shack go, but I'm sure the new workshop will soon start to feel like home Make sure you keep the Pallet Liberation sign! Fear not Mike... Feel privileged to have visited the shack. Andy Your more than welcome to visit the new workshop Andy you must make a replica shack in your new place ian!! thats your home within a home. james The new workshop is bigger James, but not that big Down came all the decorations that shacks collect over the years.. It feels strange in there without this lot fixed on the walls.. They all hold good memories for me and will be going up in the new workshop along with some bigger stuff that I will once again have wall space for And of course.... More stuff boxed up ready to go, even more "shack boxes" stashed in the house! Even under the big bench has been mostly cleared out and boxed up! Only the one photo from Friday but the shack stripping is getting serious now.. Lathe dismantled and ready to be moved, and 2 benches dismantled one of which the compressor was hidden under.. I'd forgotten how big it is The shack has a viewing booked in for tomorrow afternoon, and just had a call from a chap who thought it was a small shed and wanted to take it to Orkney!!!

Yesterday the big bench came down.. Which must mean the Why Not is a roller

Stigian 1,234 #19 Posted November 5, 2014 And so the shack comes down.... We didn't quite manage to get it all apart, by the end of a very long and wet day (Monday) it looked like a hurricane had been through the garden The rest will be coming down tomorrow.... Stigian 1,234 #24 Posted November 7, 2014 I didn't know you were taking the old one down, how come? Hi Geno, the shack won't fit in the new garden which is why I've had to rent a workshop And as this is a rented house, the shack has to come down before we leave.. Your welcome.... there's a lot more to keep track of here than there used to be! There is indeed Jason... I need to find the time to catch up on it all... Yesterday was a nice day weather wise and the shack floor had never looked so clean!! As the first floor board came up I was wondering how many rabbit holes I would find as they do like the garden here and are/were always running under the shack! As it turned out there was only slight bunny digging in one corner, but no holes. I did have one very unexpected find though.. I found Limpy... Or what was left of him/her! Limpy was a young fox cub that could be seen pottering about the place last year.. As you will of guessed Limpy had a limp hence the name.. At one point he/she wasn't look too well but the last couple of times I saw him/her, he/she was looking much better with a nice coat of fur at last.. I guess he/she wasn't doing too well as I found the remains yesterday! Anyway, the shack is all down now, the base frame has been split into manageable size chunks that will fit on a big trailer with no problems.. And all being well it should all be taken away tomorrow which is also house moving day!! Should be fun
