Here's a photo of my 854 hood/cowling after I did some work on it.Had to weld up cracks and holes where lights were installed. the bottom attach point was cracked and bent, so lots of work, this photo is after a lot of sanding and body filler, but its worth it.

Hood is looking good. Been working on my 175 doing a little maintenance work stoping rust on the flat hood. It's primed and painted, but havn't put the black back yet. 

You are making excellent progress. Keep up the good work.  :)

Thanks for all the positive comments , this project is lots of fun and demanding at the same time. I am shooting for as close to original  as I can with a few personal touches to make it mine. I will be painting the hood Sunday, I started cleaning the motor and all the sheet metal that goes with it. Plan on getting motor painted this week so it can be mounted on the frame, then start the wiring. I will post photos.
