AJ - nice fab job on the wheel weights.... What do they weigh? Hope you get your seat covered by then, may get a little chilly on the back side! Great choice for the winter duties!

They weigh very close to 90 lbs each! I am also waiting on my new chains as well. I will snap some pics when I get everything mounted up.

Yeah going to have to do something with that seat. The original is so hard to find!

And here's the video :D

It's a tough one for this winter, neither Bendy or C4 will take the plough.... Unless I make some serious modifications :)

I was hoping to start getting things ready this weekend but medical issues will delay that some. But the good news is an epic tractor build may be in the works complete with pics and video!  :) I just need to find a short frame plow within reasonable driving distance from me and we are in business!  :auto-swerve:  I do have Elvis ready if needed butStay tuned for further developments as they come in!  :music-listening:

Looks like this will only last a day [emoji30]

PERIODS OF HEAVIER SNOW THIS MORNING

ONGOING RAIN WILL TRANSITION OVER TO SNOW ACROSS INLAND AREAS OF

NORTHWEST LOWER MICHIGAN BY 9 AM

AS MUCH COLDER AIR SPILLS INTO

NORTHERN MICHIGAN. PERIODS OF HEAVIER SNOWFALL ARE POSSIBLE

REDUCING VISIBILITIES DOWN TO LESS THAN A MILE AND PRODUCING A

LIGHT COATING OF SLUSHY SNOW ON AREA ROADS.

IN ADDITION TO THE SNOW

NORTH WINDS WILL INCREASE QUICKLY THIS

MORNING WITH GUSTS OF 25 TO 35 MPH COMMON ACROSS THE REGION

AND

GUSTS IN EXCESS OF 40 MPH NEAR THE LAKE MICHIGAN COAST. THIS WILL

PRODUCE WIND CHILL READINGS IN THE 20S.

Rob --  The 'panoramic' view shows a couple hundred feet of subdivision road and the cul-de-sac that my house is on -- And I don't clear much of that -- I just do my 100' driveway and the snow that get pushed off the road in front of my drive way  and mail box

If we get any of the white stuff down here in Raleigh-wood, I'll be using my 314-8.

Well, I thought, since it is November 1st. and I did no mowing in November that I would get things started for the winter season....

  • Took the deck off, and prepped it for spring, hung it on the back wall of the garage
  • greased the tractor
  • washed and waxed the tractor
  • mounted the snowblower
  • mounted the rear weights - 60lbs

Between the rear weights, wheel weights, and myself, there is close to 400lbs. of added weight to the drive axles.. Seemed to really help last year, the additional weight in the back.

All I have left is to mount the cab and put the chains on.

Hey Bob, looks sharp and ready for action!  I still have one more week of cutting and two more weeks of leaf sweeping before I convert my machine for winter duty.  I  hope your snowblower belt woes are behind you now!

Hey Bob, is that cylinder in the lower chute section stock, or is that something you added?  My tall chute has a ZEE shaped wire there.
