thehorse 221 #1 Posted September 18, 2014 Hi all. A question for those using 2 stage blowers. I just picked up a very nice 2 stage blower. After looking through the parts...all like new, I noticed I was missing the belt guard bracket and the belt guard. The anti swaybar shows some missing paint where it was installed but ther is no belt guard bracket or belt guard. I have the po looking for it but as of yet, nothing. Do you need the belt guard bracket to mount the anti sway bar and do you need any of it at all? Does it make a difference really? Thanks
stevebo-(Moderator) 8,034 #2 Posted September 18, 2014 It gets bolted to the frame so many times people forget it is on there when they sell the blowers. I used one without the bumper and what will happen is the belt will rub the paint off the hood.
baerpath 517 #3 Posted September 18, 2014 As Steve said the belt rubs the hood. I do have a spare one somewhere around.
Forest Road 593 #4 Posted September 18, 2014 I have both. If I'm in the mood I install them. You'll be fine without.
cheesegrader 433 #5 Posted September 19, 2014 I've been looking for one for years. The bumper would be useful for me. If I nose too far into heavy drifts or piles, my belts rub. The bumper limits that blower lift. I'd love to have that little trick stop.
thehorse 221 #6 Posted September 20, 2014 Not sure what you mean by the bumper.
