Value of 1969 gt-14 Wheel Horse

Recommended Posts

Bordeaux

Can any of you help me estimate the value of a 1969 GT-14 Wheel horse? I believe it has a hydraulic bucket on it. I was unable to attach at photo.

It does leak fluid a little.  Thanks!.

Wow, you are really helpful Glenn. My husband died, I have none of the specs, and I tried for 45 minutes to upload some pictures to the site. I thought a Wheel Horse forum would be friendlier than this.

I'll cancel my account.

I agree . Sometimes messages in text come off a little short or sarcastic. Joe buying his for 20 was a steal but considering the condition his was in, I wouldnt have paid much more.  My area, GT14's bring a decent buck. To many variables , like three point hitch, condition, running? The loader itself can fetch close to a grand. So try and get some pictures. postimage.org is an easy website. Select the size format, load pic from your computer , then copy the URL to your post. Give it a go ...

The valve of these tractors depends on a lot of different things.

Many, many people get on this forum to just see if they have something that could be valuable. Often people look on E-bay or Craigslist to try to determine a valve for their tractor, but there again many things will factor into the value.

I think you & Glenn got off on the wrong foot. You should have mentioned in your 1st post that your late husband left you with a Wheel Horse and you were interested in a value.

There would (and probably will) be a lot of folks that can help you with a value with just a little more information if possible. Heck, maybe someone on here lives close to you and can drop by to help.

I don't think any one on here would come to your house, tell you it is worthless, give you $20 and run off with your tractor.

Everyone I have had deals with on here have been up front and honest.

I am sorry I stirred up so much discussion on this topic. I reacted a little too strongly.

I will try to get a few more photos this afternoon and post them. If I still get an error that they are too large, I will reach out to one of several of you who offered to help.

Here are some pictures of the gt-14. The person who is interested in buying the tractor restores them as a hobby.

Please let me know if there is any additional info I could look for on the tractor that would help determine its value.

I really appreciate your time and knowledge. Thank you!

I'm not good at pricing these things, but I think this will bring in a good sum.  The question I would have is sometimes these have a sentimental value, do you have a price in mind which you are looking to get?  Don't have to answer now, maybe wait until you see what the guys think....

Bucket loader alone can bring $1500.   :handgestures-thumbsup:

I was thinking $2000 for everything.  Is there anything additional like a mower deck, or a rototiller?

Ha nylyon - the sentimental value is, of course, priceless. My husband LOVED, LOVED, LOVED this Wheelhorse!

I don't think there is a mower deck or rototiller but will check. But I don't think so because.....I didn't want to mention this, but I have two other wheelhorses and one is a mower.

(Just taking one thing at a time.)

I can see why your husband loved Wheel Horses. It looks like he took very good care of this tractor probably all three. The guys are close to what it should bring. I was thinking about $1700 -1850 or so but like I say its close to whats been said. Good luck with your sale.

I agree with brrly. 2000 is top of the market. Especially not knowing the condition of the motor and hydro.

Assuming it ran when parked. Easily $2000 in NJ. A clean working loader by itself could fetch $1500.

Looks like someone (maybe your husband) fabricated a foot operated control for the forward/reverse motion control.

This will really help while operating the loader.

I agree, start at $2000, but paint those Yellow (John Deere ?) weights... :ychain:
