414 running boards

Recommended Posts

aaubrey96

So today I decided to take my stock foot rests/ running boards off my 414-8 and put on the foot rests off of the junk commando 8 in my back yard. I think I like the appearance front the front. The only think is the way the pedals on the 414 are to make the foot rests work I had to put them on the back pegs not the front and that's ok with me do getting on and off and comfort while sitting. But I'm not sure what I should do with the front pegs that come out past the pedals, but the reason I'm posting this is because I'm looking for your guys opinion of what to do with the front pegs or if I should put the stock running borers back on?eb5800d2001213caeabafb513418c3c5.jpge47b6bc625929405e13ad173815ca964.jpg

Picture 1&2 are stock and 3&4 are now8ce2b666fd7cdf4d22eea613b9153f70.jpgdb9d77ca75b8183148a8692a69444372.jpg

At some point tomorrow I will post a pic from above to show what I mean about the front pegs.

I think it is safer to have the floor boards on. Keeps you feet where they can easily reach the foot pedals.

In the biker world, that would be called forward controls and highway pegs.  Born To Be Wiiii----ild :music-listening:

Have you tried them on the front pegs, will they fit?

They fit but like I said before you can't get your feet onto the pedals at the angle the pedals are at. edfa67b42b2f9550ddcaacab5924ad41.jpg

Guess you'll just have to change the pedal position while you're at it.   :teasing-poke:

I think if I pop that brake return spring off and put it back on the other direction the break will drag very slightly but it will hold the pedal back where I want it. Plus when I go to brake the brake will be right there not have 4 inches of slip in the pedal
