what are the 4.00-8 tri rib tires there alot cheaper. my b80 has 16-6.50x8 front tires. is there much difference in size or wont they even mount to the rim?

Depending on the year of your B-80 as to if it has wide or narrow front rims, if narrow about 3 3/4" wide inside the beads, the small tri ribs are a great fit, if you have the wide rims about 5 3/8"wide inside the beads, they will not fit very well, but most B-80's I've seen have the narrow rims

The B series are kinda all over the place. I know the 76 and 77 had 16-6.50x8's and I'm pretty sure the 74 and 75 did too which seems to be supported by you having that size.

The early C's and B's had the 16x6.5 tires but still used the narrow rims like the 60's, the later 70's machines used the same tire but on a wider rim
