well after checking auto part stores which by the way if they cant look it by year or make or model they have no clue what to do..

anyway I did buy a coil but after getting it home it says external resistor required so is that right or wrong?

I can take it back where I got...

thanks

I would ask for a coil for a 1970 Chevy truck and see if it says it needs a resistor.  Most GM ignitions run 12V all the time.  Ford and Chrysler used the resistor and lower voltage coil.  :)

I have been looking at some web sites and my kohler owners manual and I guess the K341 came either with a magneto ignition or a battery breakerless.

I am a little confused since it gives the gap for those then gives a point gap which is different from the other two.

thanks

They must have made 2 different options in that year so they included both in the manual.  I see that a lot.  :)

well may get to work on it some today but on a side note I sold my barkbuster to Geno, him and his wife are nicest people I have been around

for a long time.

If I could have I would have just gave him the barkbuster and all I can say is God Bless Them.

Here is the Kohler service manual

This old manual for the C-Series has a lot of service info that applies to the 300, 400 and 500-Series - excluding the C-195 Twin and wiring

?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>

Transmission service manual

High resolution copy

?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>

Low resolution copy

This file is 523 pages and where the detailed wiring diagrams came from that you were linked to earlier in this thread. There is much more content in it that is very good.

If you search the manuals using your long tractor model number 31-16K801 or 416-8 model name some service bulletins should come up.

Change the Submission date to Title and then change to Ascending order so it makes more sense.

My question is what do those two wires go to?

I am starting simple as I can also seat switch isn't hooked up but I can if I need to.

Hello all! Long time no see, I’ve started a new job that’s has me pretty much wiped out, so I haven’t been on or tinkered much lately. Today I wasn’t too sore to get motivated to have some “Dad time” so I figured I’d learn how to put the deck on my Charger 9

I don’t know what I’m missing if I’m missing something.  The belt is the one that was on the deck when we got it last year, but the deck was off of the tractor, so I’ve never seen how it goes on. At this point I’m just trying to make sure I’ve got everything to connect this deck, and make sure I’ve done what I can on my own properly.

I’d seen that some use a chain linkage instead of the bar or j Rod. I cut a piece of chain to make my own, just to see how it’ll work. So far I have it to where it does, ever so slightly raise the deck, so I need to play around with that some more. Since I seem to be headed in the right direction with that, I figured I’d try the belt routing to see how it goes and I’m now scratching my head.

I’d looked through the files and some posts, but didn’t see what I needed to see to get a good visual.  If anyone could help me out with decent pictures, and if possible as close to nine as possible that would be great, but any clear visual one happens to know of would be great too!

      Thanks in advance

I'm guessing most all of us have something to sell from time to time and most of us know how important it is in this day of visual multi-media to spend some extra effort towards delivering a great photo.  Now you may have other pointers and examples, and please share, but I just had to share this one:  It hits the mark in SO many ways that I will just leave it to you without any of my comments!

Hello out there; Could someone with a C195 take some close up pictures of the motor and how it bolts to the frame and the wires on the motor. I have a C195 and I bought it without a motor, Thanks Elliot.
