Ed Kennell 35,603 #1 Posted August 27, 2014 What are the notches and holes for in the middle section of the chute?
RMCIII 838 #2 Posted August 27, 2014 Ed: Not real sure, but I think it is to provide more of a "forward" thrust of the snow vs. "upward".. I took my bolts off one time, just to see if the notches line up with the bolt holes. They do. I did not like the look of it, but I think that is what it is to do. Ed Kennell 35,603 #3 Posted August 27, 2014 (edited) You really got me curious now Rob. I gotta take mine apart and see how that looks. I also asked this question in the "WHATS IN YOUR MIRROR" thread and Shallowwatersailer replied with two suggestions....stress relief / crack prevention or just some demented engineer messin with our minds. RMCIII 838 #4 Posted August 27, 2014 I have to belive it is more for trajectory, vs. height. That way you can still throw it way infront of the path vs. directing it downward with the chute top chute control, which will piles up rather quickly doing it that way. With the mid point chute optional position, it would create less double and triple blowing of the snow. Rob
