jmack 35 #1 Posted August 20, 2014 (edited) I took the cylinder head off my Kolher M18 and cleaned off the carbon to find some pitting on the piston head. Should I be concerned on the condition? Edited August 20, 2014 by jmack

Fordiesel69 188 #3 Posted August 21, 2014 Should not be a problem. Looks like it one time the mixture was too lean, (or) someone did not decarbon at proper intervals and there were hot spots. Should not be a problem for the rest of the service life.
