Will a snow blade from a 312-8 fit my Raider 12?

Hello,

I noticed on craigslist today that a guy in the next town over is selling a wheel horse 48" plow blade. I looked up the part number and it appears that it was originally for an 312-8. Would this plow mount to my Raider 12 without much modification?

Yes it will. You'll have to transfer the rear hitch over with it, providing the seller has one. If not, they tend to show up on Ebay often.

Also, the 312 won't have a solid link to the blade. No down pressure... It looks like the upper chain on the pic. Disregard the lower section of chain:

You'll need a solid link like this for down pressure:

You can fab a link, or just use a section of chain on the Raider, similar to the 312's setup. You just won't be able to apply down pressure to the blade without a link. Probably not a big deal, but some folks want to be able to push on the lift arm and have the down pressure...
