Sparky-(Admin) 19,286 #2 Posted July 27, 2014 The type of footrests, the non-slotted grill and the unlabeled or unstamped belt guard lead me to believe its a genuine 701. Does it have two belts from the starter gen to the engine? The 701's were the only year that had dual belts. Mike...........
Zeus55 38 #3 Posted July 27, 2014 Yes it does have multiple belts... Thanks for the answer. I will pick this baby up in a couple of days and start to work on it.

Zeus55 38 #8 Posted July 27, 2014 Here's a closer look... probably been modified but just want to make sure it's a 701.
Theroundhousernr 589 #9 Posted July 27, 2014 Looks like a two groove pulley on the starter generator to me. Hard to tell on the engine but it should have two grooves. Looks like its a 701 acording to the rest of the guys here. Nice find. Looks in great shape....

Wheel-N-It 2,967 #23 Posted July 30, 2014 No nerfs ? Nice EX BTW Digger, yes there are nerfs on it now. Tusk brand from Rockey Mountain ATV. The pics are from where I just brought it home. It was a one owner, and still has the original tires. The chain had only been adjusted one time. The four wheeler bug had bit me again so I sold my Suzuki 250 off road bike and bought the 400ex. Thank you for the comment.
