Geno 1,928 #2 Posted July 25, 2014 (edited) I have one here that is 2.059 wide x .697 high. I have a tongue for it that fits nicely that is 2.001 x .615. I'd like to see a pic of it when you're done if possible. Edited July 25, 2014 by Geno

nhunt308 143 #4 Posted July 25, 2014 Here is a couple pics of the progress
KC9KAS 4,741 #5 Posted July 25, 2014 Very nice. I made one of these a month or so ago, and I made it too short.....Doesn't stick out far enough for the cable connection on the slot hitch to clear the 5/8" bolt that stabizes the plow. Otherwise mine looks like yours (only shorter)!
nhunt308 143 #6 Posted July 25, 2014 I thought about making mine shorter. This is my lifting mechanism. ..
nhunt308 143 #7 Posted July 26, 2014 And its done... now I just need some attachments
876wheelhorse 46 #8 Posted July 27, 2014 what the total length?
KC9KAS 4,741 #9 Posted July 27, 2014 I will tell you that 4" is too short!
nhunt308 143 #10 Posted July 27, 2014 Mine is 10" total
CasualObserver 3,406 #11 Posted July 28, 2014 I wouldn't go shorter...that's about right. I'm thinking the factory one is 12". I'd have to measure to tell you for sure. I think there's a post with that info somewhere. By the way... you're picture shows it in the hitch upside down. It should be mounted flat side up, with bracing underneath. nhunt308 143 #12 Posted July 28, 2014 Ha. Thanks good to know..box blade will be here in a week. Also dont go by my 10" length if planning one for yourself I just guessed from pictures. Will be using a winch to lift mine so I wasnt to worried about clearance.
KC9KAS 4,741 #13 Posted July 29, 2014 By the way... you're picture shows it in the hitch upside down. It should be mounted flat side up, with bracing underneath. Are you sure about this? I thought I have seen them on tractors mounted just like we see in his photo.....Maybe they were wrong too!
CasualObserver 3,406 #14 Posted July 29, 2014 Are you sure about this? I thought I have seen them on tractors mounted just like we see in his photo.....Maybe they were wrong too! Yes I'm sure. You probably have. But by the instructions it goes this way. Via Tapatalk
KC9KAS 4,741 #15 Posted July 30, 2014 (edited) Yes I'm sure. You probably have. But by the instructions it goes this way. Via Tapatalk 4 Well, in that case, mine isn't too long I mean short! One of the bolts to tighten up the plow was hitting on the cast part where the cable lift is attached. Thanks for setting me straight! CasualObserver 3,406 #16 Posted July 30, 2014 Glad to help.... and yeah. I assume it goes that way to eliminate interference with the sway plate bolts. Via Tapatalk
