Hope to get mine today. Can someone tell me the best and easiest way to remove the old lining? Thanks

Most times the band just falls out. But if it didn't, use a putty knife to slide under it to remove it. Be sure to get all the rust and residual glue off before applying the new glue.

Hi.  I see that your auctions have ended.  Do you still have one for sale?  I just found out today I need one for my 1045.  Thanks!

FYI ... I bought lining from McMaster Carr, and industrial adhesive to install it.  Between the materials, shipping and my labor, I figure I have about $40 in my band.  Wish I saw this post before I started!!!

Now you know for the future.

I am probably going to do another run of about 20 or 30 linings before the years end.

What kind of adhesive do you use to stick these on I know you can use silicone but what else?

I've used 2-part Epoxy with good results.

If I am in a hurry and don't want to wait for silicone to set up, I use GOOP all purpose adhesive.
