jachady 130 #1 Posted June 1, 2014 Not sure if this is the proper spot to put this. A couple people have been asking about the trailer I use to haul my Wheel Horse. It is a custom-built drop deck trailer. All I have to do is pull up in release the safety and swing the spring up and it drops the deck to the ground. No need for ramps. Here's some photos. jachady 130 #6 Posted June 2, 2014 I didn't build it, but I did take the axle apart to re-grease it. It's actually a solid axle that doubles as the pivot. The hub is attached a couple inches forward of the axle giving the eccentric motion. It is borderline tough to pull down with the tractor on board. I stand clear when I'm pulling down just incase my hand slips. I have seen trailer similar to this that use hydraulic or electric assist. Some even use a boat winch mounted on the tougue. Most of the assist ones the two swing arms come around and meet at the tongue, therefore raising or dropping the trailer even. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
