My b-111 restro

ignore how it looks, have a look at the manual. Battery positive goes to the solenoid, solenoid to starter - theres a small stud with a nut at the bottom of the starter (7/16 spanner). Battery negative goes to chassis. There are two wire that come from under the flywheel, one is the kill wire to the magnetron and needs to go to the ign switch. The other should go to the battery +ve - it's the charge wire. I can see the white connector that this runs through on the picture.

Well connected the wire from solonoid to here

AND……NOTHING!!!

Well it's got dark now so it's beat me for today

Oh well more tomorrow and the list gets bigger

Think starter might be ceased so

The need list so far

1 complete rear axle

1 starter motor

1 new barrel with key

1 new seat

1 front lense for lights

You need a wire from the ignition switch to the solenoid, or just a wire from the battery....

maybe it's just me.. but to me it look's like somebody had the starter apart and put it back together the wrong way.  the bolt/terminal ?  on the side of the starter usualy comes out on the other side = the bottom of the starter is turned 180dgr.  which will make it run backwards...which could explain why the red wire is connected to earth.

In going to do a 100% rewire on the mower as too many things look wrong/backwards

Given the list of parts you need, you might be better off advertising for another whole B-111. Making one from two might be the right idea.
