km3h 543 #52 Posted July 7, 2014 Don't drill a hole in it. It already has a vent hole in it somewhere. Find the hole and clean it if it is clogged.
localdj77 11 #53 Posted July 8, 2014 Next time I get a chance I will look into this. I hope it's this simple.
localdj77 11 #54 Posted July 16, 2014 Good news! After all this diag and assuming the new pump was bad.....it's not! It was out of gas. I had enough gas in it for the initial tune then it died. The electric pump had locked up but somehow between the time I realized the electric pump was bad and the month later until I installed the new mech pump it ran out of gas. Not sure if it was a coincidence but regardless the new pump works fine and she purrs now. Thank God! New question.....I'll post a new topic
km3h 543 #55 Posted July 16, 2014 There isn't one of us who has not been fooled by something like this. You have a breakdown, work like the devil to solve and then find it is something so simple that you walk around for days scratching your head in wonder. I always believed it was fuel related. Glad everything worked out for you.
