smokin tractor

just got this toro wh 268 w/ a 18hp kohler ohv engine.only has 270hrs on it.the guy said it was in storage for 5yrs.smoke coming out of exhaust,  carb,  & breather vent. doesn't seem to smoke at full throttle.any idea's?

Mouse (or other) nest material in exhaust burning off..... does it continue to smoke after being shut down?

no nests, it does smoke after shut down

Thanks for letting us know what it took to fix it! :tools-wrench:

 

So many times a member will post a "problem" asking for help. Folks give their ideas for fixing the problem, but we never find out what helped! :handgestures-thumbdown:

 

Knowing the repair will assist in diagnosing future problems from the computer screen. :happy-bouncyyellow:

Did you discover why? Was there loose head bolts? Any signs of overheating?

the original gaskets are paper thin on these kohler ohv.the one had pin hole's in it
