redrooster 83 #26 Posted February 26, 2014 Solution to pouring thinner from a metal can without sloping it everywhere. Cut a hole In the side of a plastic quart container. Fasten it on with a rubber o ring. Presto, hands free operation.
JimD 3,345 #27 Posted February 26, 2014 That's one of the most clever things I've seen in a long time. Excellent idea!
64s 83 #28 Posted February 26, 2014 I put oil in clean dish soap/washing bottles (I prefer the ones with pop top vs the ones that stay attached at the side - ask your wives if you don't know what I mean). Then when its time to fill an engine or tranny, you don't need a funnel, as put the top near the opening and pop it open.
leeave96 487 #29 Posted February 27, 2014 This is a great thread! I crack open the hydro filter on my Eaton 1100 hydro tractors when refilling the tranny - gives the air inside a place to escape. Also use one of these when all else fails....
