Everything counts Chas, and Craig, you just need a little "organization". :teasing-poke::ROTF:

Wow Mike, the coolest thing about your basement to me is that it's a stone basement, not concrete block. Must be a pretty old home you have there and that's another thing I like. Love the way they built things in the past and how they have stood the test of time. That could be another good thread!

House was built in the 1870's. Installed the Rinnai in Jan and haven't been able to get down there to clean up anything with all the snow piling up on the door. got to do some hoeing out. I didn't take pics of the crawl spaces with more  :wh: parts. You can just see a hood in the shelf pic.

How's the newly installed "robot" working out Mike?    :confusion-shrug:

He does a good job. Takes a little getting used too and I have to make sure the vent is clear from snow. But once you dial it in you can stay in the shower all day!  :)

We have a rinnai unit at home also. Awesome, and never looked back...for sure. :handgestures-thumbupright:

Ours hangs on the wall directly under the bathroom. (right next to the Bridgeport miller) :icecream:

Positioned in close proximity,     :scratchead:

Guy at work bought his Rinnai about 2 yrs ago. Never got around to install it. I got it "Cheap " from him. Ran all new copper lines with pro Press fittings, added the tank flusher kit. Had to run all new gas lines too. Left the old heater in place and valved off until I new I didn't have any issues. I spent almost as much in copper ,black iron and venting parts as I did for the heater itself.

I've got a Bosch tankless, in the basement under the kitchen sink and about 10 ft from the maser bath, the house is all PEX plumbing thru a manifold with every fixture homerun plumbed. I'm sold on the tankless and ease of install with all PEX plumbing, no soldering, just pull the tubing, slip it on the fitting and crimp the band down until the crimper will release.
