Find of a life

I found a new in the box 520H anniversary model. What should I offer to pay? Are implements that fit (snow blade snow blower) hard to find because of the swept front axle? The fact that this tractor has been sitting so long going to have issues such as bad seals, fuel pump diaphragm failure rusty internal parts such as engine cyclinders and bad oil?

Welcome, and a NEW 520 should be worth $3000+ but I'm betting the asking price is closer to $5k and probably worth it, as for setting yes there could be some issues but I would change any fluids in it and grease it up and break it in.

I love my 520's as I have said many times, if you get a chance post a few pics even if you don't buy it.

Oh and being a anniversary model means it is a 1996 and only add value to a collector not someone that is going to use it.

I would not be afraid of it sitting, might have to tinker with it but shouldn't be anything bad. The price might be high but you are getting a new garden tractor that will last a lifetime with proper care.

Good luck and welcome to Red Square.

Any non-520H's with the one you found - like a crisp NOS 314-8?

Remember the old thread about whether to start up or not start up a NOS tractor?

not starting it up and keeping it as a trailer queen for shows, but what a pain pushing the later hydros that don't have the tranny disengage.

I push my rigs outside (bedroom above the garage) to start and boy with a thrower, wheel weights and rubber chains, I really love my 88 520-H with the disengage lever!

You'll never get that opportunity again. If you want a new one it's the only time. Or you can tell me where its at and I'd pay for it.

I would change the fluids, grease everything, and FIRE IT UP!!!!

Who puts tractors in a box in the back of some wharehouse?

Like locking your kids in the bedroom so they don't get hurt.

Wrong.  Just wrong.

If I had the chance, it would be blasting down my driveway at full throttle right now!

WRITE THAT CHECK!

....or let me have at it....

The dam shame of it is,,,,,,,,,whats it take of them to say, THANK YOU.

My feelings to me anyway.   :angry-soapbox:

Unfortunately we've seen this type of post happen many times in the past!

Reminds me of the post a few years back by some new guy who said he ran into a woman, who's dad or grand father was a  :wh: dealer in the early 50's and had a Senior, Junior and some others brand new in the crates. He was supposed to go back to look at them in a few days after posting. We all posted for weeks looking for an update and never heard another word.

Until I see it, I will never believe it!
