.5racer 14 #5 Posted February 18, 2014 BE BETTER OFF GOING TO A NAPA didn't mean to yell ...be better if you could find a machinist with a mill or lath at home to do it for you on the side . What I would do if I could if I was closer . How much time do you have ?
tunahead72 2,332 #6 Posted February 18, 2014 (edited) I know where Low Moor is. You should be able to find NAPA and Fisher Auto Parts in both Clifton Forge and Covington. In Covington, there's also an Auto Zone and Advance Auto. Any one of those places might do their own machine work, and if not they should be able to point you to a good local machine shop. I would definitely want someone who works on small single cylinder engines on a regular basis, with special preference to anybody who knows these old Kohlers. Good luck! That one is the supplier for the other napa in Richmond. A good lawn mower shop might help also. There is a good toro repair shop located in Henrico co on the outskirts of Richmond, called authers electric.

leeave96 487 #17 Posted February 20, 2014 Richmond is a long way from lowmoor va. Were it me, I'd consider motoring over to Roanoke to harbor freight for a low cost new engine repower.
darg 7 #18 Posted February 20, 2014 I was told by that you could not get parts for the ***** made motors when they go bad. Might check with northern tools. I have bought very few things from H.F. one was a chain hoist. suppose to lift 500#, but gave away at 150#, took it back and they would not make exchange out of warranty for less than a week. but it broke way before that time , just forgot to take it back before hand. I know that money makes a difference . Might check craig list . Good luck
