Tom:  Did you get the winch with the remote  Up and Down Switch?  I see Harbor Freight has a 2500 lb winch with remote for 12 volt setup for $59.99 !    We always thought about doing this on a Wheel Horse without hydraulic lift etc.  We also thought it would be great for a three point rear setup as a towing wrecker!

Very nice fab work! There is a picture of mine on the board

somewhere. I just came straight out

with an angle iron frame. My winch

is mounted lower, but it will raise

the blade till it hits the front axle.

I did buy a Warn 1500lb ATV winch.

Mounted the switch on the lift lever. That is what wore out after 5

years. The switch. Warn had updated with a rubber covered

water proof switch. It was 79 dollars but worth it. Only other

maintenance is cable but that is no

big deal. I have a C121. Still could

use a FEL. Dont know weather to

buy used and rebuild or start from

scratch.

Nice work.

I mounted a winch on my 414 to raise the plow, and other implements. I mounted with 2 pins, so I could remove 1 pin, and pivot forward to open the hood, or by removing both pins, move it to the rear of the tractor. The same 2 pin mount, attaches, a bar, to hang barbell weights, and a trailer ball.
