753 Back in Action

Recommended Posts

honestcharlie56

I recently inherited this 753 from my grandfather. I've been lurking around here for ideas and figured y'all would love to see the progress. This tractor has been in his garage since the 80's and not run once.

So first thing is first. Got her loaded up and brought back to the house. Naturally, a fluids change was in order.

Here are some shots of the tractor itself. It has been subject to some wild and crazy painting and farm rigging experiments.

If anyone would be kind enough to shed some light on this belly mower I would greatly appreciate it. It seems to be just an old wheel horse rear discharge.

After the fluids change I just had to mower with her!! Believe it or not after new oil, a new plug, new filter (which is too big), and getting the float unstuck she runs like sewing machine. I actually mowed for over an hour today. Just happened to hit a sizeable stick to end the fun.

The reason I ask is I now need parts for it!!!

I can't tell from the picture if the deck is 32" or 36", but the spindle shaft is the same. (obsolete, of course) The part number for the shaft was/is 3724.

Potential model numbers could be RM-326, RM-366, RM-327, RM-367, 5-2321, 5-2361

This is an RM-366 (36") :

Mr. Terry thank you so much for the welcome and the info. Measuring the blades it appears to be a 32". Its hard to measure since one of the blades is no longer........attached.
