If I do work it, it won't be mowing probably just towing a wagon. Then we will see down the road what it will be used for. I wasn't really wanting a garage queen but thats the role for now!

I thought about painting the Horse the same color as my Vette until I priced base coat clear coat. Anyhow hear is a photo of them both together (14 vs 400 horse power).bc67f95b681ca99c9f4ea36516130b8a.jpg

Finished the seat pan with a coat of rustolem and replaced the seat cover. After getting some of the usual spring chores done I was able to get the motor painted. I made a backer plate for the ignition coil mounting bracket to keep it from cracking the motor cover. attachicon.gifuploadfromtaptalk1401291908052.jpg attachicon.gifuploadfromtaptalk1401291556825.jpgattachicon.gifuploadfromtaptalk1401291578078.jpg

Please tell me, where did you get the seat cover?

I bought a used seat from Kelly because I wanted an original cover with the embossed logo. I have a friend that does upholstery, he can make a cover but it will have seams unlike a factory molded cover.

I talked to my friend that does upholstery and he said he could do a seat cover for 65.00. However the cover would have several seams in it. He did a seat cover on a small ford tractor for me and it looks great!

Wow, that really does look nice. You did this in less time than it took me to rebuild my carb, which still isn't done. Bravo.

Hey Red,  that thing is beautiful!  Mine is still in the same disassembled state.  We decided in July to build a new home, so guess what is taking priority?

What's your next project?

I have my grandfather's wheelhorse wagon that he purchased in the sixties. I want to put a fresh coat of paint on it.
