Hodge71 663 #2 Posted November 10, 2013 (edited) Any good 80w-90 gear oil will work well. Raise the front of the tractor to about 40 degrees when draining so you can get the extra that lays in front of the hump in the transmission case. Refill with 2 quarts of gear lube and you're good to go. Might not be a bad time to check shift boot too. They're only about 6 bucks on ebay and will help make sure no moisture finds its way into your 8 speed. Good luck!!
