What model do I have?

Recommended Posts

I just bought this old Wheel Horse.  Can anyone help me determine what manufacturer, model and year I have?  These are pictures that I've taken of the tractor along with a photo of the tag.  Thanks all.

Wow! A Wheel Horse in New Mexico and a D at that.  Tractor looks pretty good also fitted with all the options. I think that is the first clevis hitch (actually pinned to the transmission) that I've seen used on a D with 3 point.  Most folks use an "A" frame with the three point and then mount the impliments to the  A frame.

Nice find and welcome to Red Square.

Kelly, ...thanks for the information. This is a bit surprising as the seller said it was an 1982; no worries.  Do you know what the "9" stands for in the model number?

brandonzz, KC9KAS, boovuc and Wheel Horse Kid, thanks for the warm reception as a join Red Square.  I look forward to using my Wheel Horse and giving it some TLC. I think there is another forum to post refurb questions.  I'll want to determine if I will be limited to specific years to refurb this D200.

Thanks again all, nice to "meet" you!

The 9 is not used but if you subtract 5 from that 6th digit you get the tractor model year. 9-5=4=1974

You will see 6, 7, 8 and 9 used on the attachments at the time also representing 1971, 1972, 1973 and 1974.
