I've got the most mahoooosive of cheesy grins.

I had the very same grin the first time my 6X6 did a full 360 :D

Are you going to lower the trans to raise the rear body up a bit?

Slowly been catching up on what I've been missing on RS during the last 2-3 months. Just read this thread from start to finish and have to say that its an inspired project perfectly executed and looks like a whole lot of fun to ride.

Should be a show stopper next season but what are you going to take along to show its capabilities off? Large logs, builders rubble or have you an idea for a fold up easy to transport assault course?

10/10 for this project Mark - Very well done indeed! :greetings-clappingorange: Bravo! :notworthy:

Thanks Andy, noted you had been a bit quiet of late... Yes, what do I take to demonstrate the capabilities? I think maybe some homemade wooden ramps or something :)

Wondered what that noise was :D

Thanks Paul, I'm extremely proud of what I achieved and look forward to showing it off next year.

After swapping the old spb profile transmission pulley to a proper spa pulley which will sort out the few percent difference in drive speed. I will be looking at the same mod as Ewan's where I drop the rear tranny down a few inches. I'm probably going to revert the drive pulley back to standard as it's not fair trying to make all that metal and transmission do 12mph - though I'm sure it would do hellish donuts in the snow :D :D

Another short update, working in the shop on Boxing Day is generally frowned upon - but I earned a few brownie points sale shopping in Manchester earlier :o

Started by putting the intermediate idler back together - along with the correct profile pulley SPA150. First issue after lowering the transmission was this...

Luckily I had a half link in stock :)

Allowing me to connect it all back together

I took a quick look then at the 4WD selector

Keeping the control arm parallel with chassis reduces lever movement when the axle articulates.

I've worked out the rest, so it should come together pretty quickly.

Small update, but relatively big in functionality...

I now have remote mounted 4 wheel drive selection :)

Almost looks like a factory fitment.

Just the brake control linkage to extend now, and the clutch interlock to bypass - somehow I managed to snap the terminal off in fitting the selector linkage :(

The part number on the 4X4 instruction decal makes the whole thing look like a factory option, :handgestures-thumbup:
