Options for Raider 12 repower

Recommended Posts

dodgeit

P.O. put a Wisconsin Robin 12 hp on. The float in the carb is shot, and a Carb is stupid money on ebay.

Looking for options. Somebody know of a different carb that will fit? Have the OEM carb. Another repower option.

Thanks

If I could find a reasonable replacement I would.  Problem in this area is those are Gold and Platinum plated, if you can find one that is ready to roll. A rebuild able core is just Gold plated.

Is it possible to fix the float? Solder the holes.

Just out of curiosity, I looked on CL in SC and there's a running 12hp K301 Kohler in Greenville for $175. Not sure if that helps or not.

Thanks for the reply. Float is plastic so no go on soldering. Haven't thought to look on craigslist. Greenville is right up the road. Thanks again.

Got a model number for the engine?  I would think there's a replacement float that you could get reasonably.

Apparently don't need money. Won't answer repeated phone calls or email.

Looking for a carb with 1.800 or 46mm across the mounting flange bolt holes center to center with a 1.025 or 26mm throat

If the float just has a hole in it, you may be able to seal it with a soldering iron. If you need some "fill", you can use a zip tie like a brazing or TIG rod.
