dodgeit 0 #1 Posted October 14, 2013 P.O. put a Wisconsin Robin 12 hp on. The float in the carb is shot, and a Carb is stupid money on ebay. Looking for options. Somebody know of a different carb that will fit? Have the OEM carb. Another repower option. Thanks

dodgeit 0 #3 Posted October 15, 2013 If I could find a reasonable replacement I would. Problem in this area is those are Gold and Platinum plated, if you can find one that is ready to roll. A rebuild able core is just Gold plated.
wallfish 15,912 #4 Posted October 15, 2013 Is it possible to fix the float? Solder the holes. Just out of curiosity, I looked on CL in SC and there's a running 12hp K301 Kohler in Greenville for $175. Not sure if that helps or not.
dodgeit 0 #5 Posted October 15, 2013 Thanks for the reply. Float is plastic so no go on soldering. Haven't thought to look on craigslist. Greenville is right up the road. Thanks again.
DoctorHfuhruhurr 132 #6 Posted October 15, 2013 Got a model number for the engine? I would think there's a replacement float that you could get reasonably.

dodgeit 0 #9 Posted October 18, 2013 Try this site: hmindustrial.com, 1-800-346-4331. Wisconsin engine parts. Apparently don't need money. Won't answer repeated phone calls or email. posifour11 723 #10 Posted October 21, 2013 If the float just has a hole in it, you may be able to seal it with a soldering iron. If you need some "fill", you can use a zip tie like a brazing or TIG rod.
