Well i bought the snowmobile last weekend finally i had some time to play around with it this weekend. It comes with all the paperwork for it and i actually got it to run today!! It might not have a lot of value or collectable to it but i like it and think its very cool!! For its age its in really good shape....

Safari is a kind of strange name for a snowmobile - isn't it?

Still very cool regardless.

Can you post a close up of the Racing Stripe on the hood?

It looks very close to the Bronco hood stripe.

Nice!

I think it looks nice...."A horse is a horse.......Wheel Horse of Course!

And a Wheel Horse trailer to haul it on.....Now that is sweet!

I like the look of the front end.  It looks like the old style bumper cars.

Mike..........

Register in New York State. It had only 2 owners the first one was a school principle that used it in the early 70s to go back and forth from middle school to the high school. The second in which I had bought from just used it around his property. He claimed he only put a 100 miles on it. It's a neat story

Nice........... what years were they made ?

From my understanding they bought out sno-flite in 1969. They then only made wheel horse snowmobiles for another 2 years 70-72. I wish I knew the production numbers for those years I think there kindy rare category.

I had a 1972 back in the mid-80's. It had a twin-cylinder Kohler engine and was a 2 stroke! I always thought it looked like an old locomotive.

It looks pristine and I'll just bet there isn't another original one like it. That trailer doesn't look like it was used either. What a find! :bow-blue: How many do you suppose are left? That's probably one of the rarest Wheel Horses anywhere.:woohoo::happy-jumpeveryone:

Unfortunately that's just a utility trailer I use around the house and to pick up tractors. The funny thing is the trailer is called snow bear trailer. The original trailer they made for that wheel horse snowmobile is extremely rare to find.
