Here is my C-160

The weight box is screwy and takes a maul to put it on and off so I put wheel weights in old tool boxes.

What ever works, Dodge! I have blocks, bricks, metal bars and a round piece of 1/4 inch plate in my box. Not pretty but it is functional. Nice 160!

Does anyone know if there was a

FEL made for a C 121?

If sized appropriately the tractor

Should handle it. I dont know

Weather to by something and modify it, or just start from scratch.

dodgemike, yes they made a loader, Ark was the brand, if you go back through some of these post you will see it. I have a pic of mine on a C-141. They come up for sale every now and then here on red square or ebay. The last loader offering from Toro/Wheel Horse was a Kwik-Way. They should fit also. They are not quite as heavy built as the Ark was but still a nice unit.

I was thinking of a loader for my 414-8. Then a Flrd LGT 165 came along with one. It's a Ark 508 loader, which I think might have been on a WH.

It has a massive sq. steel frame, from front to back.

Not like the "regular" loaders you have here but it's a kind of loader and it works real good!

Hi Swemill,

I looked at your loader setup on your profile. You do incredibly nice work! Glad you posted it on this thread! I know Diesel Cowboy and I would like to get all our members who have or had an FEL on their "horse' to post them if they got em'.

Especially home-made setups and conversions from other manufacturers.

The nice thing with this setup is that i can take it on / off in a couple of minutes, and also mount it at the back if i like to!

I know you have been looking for a loader a while Amanda. Great find. Glad you got one. Everyone's tractors look awesome. WH or not, I'm glad to see them. The ones that are used overseas are nothing like the concept we have here, sometimes I should say. So many different ideas for all of you who would like to built or mount one on your own. It can be a challenge to start from scratch without pics of others.

It's pretty cold here so I didn't take the time to get an uncluttered outdoor shot, but here's my C195.

It has a gear reduction steering and 520H tie rods and rims. Also has foot control for the Hydro.

Well, here is the D200 I got up and running this past fall. The loader has been "reinforced" with some plate steel by the previous owner and looks a little cheesy on the down tubes. Pretty amazing what they can do though for their size. Turned a large pile of compost for a neighbor today in 10 minutes that would have taken hours by hand.

Forks are a great thing. I fabbed up a set for mine over the winter. Can't wait to really put them to use.

Can any of you ARK and Kwik Way guys post the measurements of your loaders? Center to center on the main arms and the length of the main arms and drop arm?

I have build a couple loaders and I am wondering how close they were to the factory ones.

thanks,

Joe

Hi loader enthusiasts!

Curious on how much weight you use for counterweight? I have fabricated a new weight for my 3-point lift so i also can use the trailer together with it. Nice to be able to have it with me together with the loader and weight! Just to put it on the support and load it up.... =)

Right now the counterweight weighs 200kg (440 ponds), but it seems a bit beneath the need. I can easy weight it up to 250kg (550 pounds), but i think it sounds like a lot of weight...

How much do you use?

I wish I had a 3 point lift or I would have more weight on the back. As mine is now, I am at 390 lbs. (177 kg)

I'll add a little more when I find some dense stuff that fits. I don't think I'll go much over 400 lb. With my wheel weights, I feel I have enough counter weight verses what the loader is rated at.
