I'll start by nominating my 145 "Marvin" A friend offered me this tractor for $150. It was a good runner but had a weak Hydro. I was looking for a tractor with hyd. lift to mount a tall shoot blower on and said  to send me pics. What I saw was a pretty clapped out flat top. I never cared for the look of the black hoods but I figured the motor was worth the price. Here's how it looked when I got it and mounted the blower:

RF of the hood was bashed in:

Once I drove it I thought what a great tractor. Sweetest running Kohler I ever had. A littile birdie on the forum inspired me to fix it up and do something different. It would need a hood, fender and another hydro unit which I picked up at the big show. It's been a tough slog getting it all done in one month working late at work for 2 weeks but here it is. NOTE: I AM NOT A PAINTER! :)

I never was that crazy with the black hoods either. I really like Mike's version with white paint on the hood. It really gives it a lot better

look than the black.  I vote for Mike's White Hood.

alright, pulled the c125 out for some seat time today and snapped a few pics for this nomination........

out of all my tractors this is my favorite ride, its not a perfect rebuild, doesnt look perfect, didnt cost me a bunch of money to rebuild, and it got done in record time for me.......

i pulled this one apart on the 5th july and by the 24th august it was basically done and the decals were going on.was working 50 hour weeks at work as well, so it was hectic to say the least....... i rebuilt nearly all of it except the engine and trans, more of a cosmetic and worn out rebuild, sheetmetal got the most attention as it had a hard life.....and repainted everything in that time. it was meant to be a quickie and i wanted to get it done asap. along the way it got a few small mods here and there.....
since finishing it i have added the 520 tach, big rear wheels, scott moreau hitch and new tires all round.
all the sheetmetal is powder coat and the engine and trans cast iron were done with rattle cans.......
enjoy the pics and if you want to see the rebuild thread here it is......

heres a few pics of how it was back when i got it and from today.......

the pics will go big if you click on them and want to look closer.......

My C-175 Last weekend...

Bought it last year from the first owner, in original condition. No repaints, no repairs... just 33 years of lawn mowing and trailer pulling garden work..

I'm getting it all ready for restauration... So it will be good for another 33 years...

Getting it zink & powdercoated in a few weeks. The 42" rd will be fitted with a mulching kit.

Here is my Go-To-Tractor. It was my second Wheel Horse and is my fun tractor. It serves as my backup mower, backup snowplow, and general puller. The rear seat pan was replaced at some point and appears that the paint may have been refreshed at that time. Because the paint is still presentable, I have treated it to new decals by Terry. It also has one of Scott's 2" Receiver hitches on the rear. Last year it had all the mowing duties but this year it has been resting. I might get some additional seat time if I decide to mulch my leaves first with the rear discharge deck before using the CR. New tires and fresh paint are in the future.

I would nominate mine but I think it would win the ugly tractor prize...  I love my C-175 with a series II and it was my first WH Love.  bought it for $50 as a C-125 and 2 years later dropped in the KT-17.  It's a worker and bruiser all the way, and I will never let it leave.  Someday it will be restored if I can ever bear not driving it for a few months.

I feel like a black sheep with my 1982 red hood . This is a unrestored 1982 SK486 with 1300 hours I bought new. I use it about 20-25 hours in the fall to clean up leaves. I use and old 42" deck for my vacuum system. I mow with a 99 314-8

OK... surprisingly participation in the Black Hood month was rather bleak.  I thought we'd have our 10-12 nominations in the first week, but we only made 7 entries.  They're up, pick your favorite!

As usual I'm late to the dance, but I figured I would add or two of my 1980 C105 bought in september of 79, I am the second owner and it came with all the paper work and the original replacement mower blades! still had only one sharpening on them. and yes it is all original
