dozer blade solid link

i got this thinking it was the solid link for a dozer blade on my 1973 16 auto but i can't see how it would work. did i get the wrong piece?.

it seems to be an inch or so offset from where it mount's to the blade.

what is it and or what do i need?.

it's the bottom piece in the pic. it's flat with a pin at each end.

it has the number 8172 on it.

its the right part it hooks right on the rock shaft and on the plow i have a couple of them and have used them on a bunch of differant tractors but to make it work right you have to take the j bar that lifts your deck off

ok i saw that it might work but the j-bar was in the way.

i didn't know you have to remove it.

u can make it fit with the j bar but it binds up some times and wont let the plow come the hole way up

sure enough i popped off the j bar and it went on no problem.
