I really had no idea about how good they are to eat...I have to admit...I have eaten things that looked worse.    I was younger then.    I'll dig out those lures and take a couple of pictures.   

 

It is always a plus...when you can eat your bait.     Let's see...hamburger on a spring treble hook for catfish...Oscar Meyer hotdogs on a tip up on the ice for northern.  Making me hungry.

No kidding. My beagle Mollie has been tearing up the yard eating grubs and crickets for the last 2 years!
