Kevbo 80 #1 Posted May 1, 2013 Just for fun! If you are planning on going to the show this coming June and could buy any model Wheel Horse...assuming the price is right...what would you buy? I'll start us off! I would love a "Blackhood" or a C-160 both with a nice strong Kohler! I'm in the market for a round hood too... How about you?
rwilson 128 #2 Posted May 1, 2013 C-160, 161, or an sk486
posifour11 723 #3 Posted May 1, 2013 GT 14 or D160 with the bells and whistles. Alas, I'm broke til the VA gets their collective head removed from their fifth point of contact.
thedude 14 #4 Posted May 1, 2013 Well ive got a GT14, and an Sk486, and im not a huge fan of the black hoods, so either another 520 (a nice clean one), a 500 Special or a 420LSE
Tankman 3,514 #5 Posted May 1, 2013 A "D" series would make my day. Not a fan at all of the black hoods.
welderman85 53 #6 Posted May 1, 2013 I would like another black hoodB
Jake Kuhn 1,546 #7 Posted May 1, 2013 (edited) Well, it would be a hard decision. But I have always wanted a 953 or 1054. Wouldn't mind owning a c160 8 speed, 1045 or a 701 as well. Edited May 1, 2013 by Jake Kuhn
Ken B 3,116 #8 Posted May 1, 2013 That is a real tough one.... I'll take a MINT 420 LSE with all the bells and whistles. Wheel Horse really nailed it with the 420 LSE! It is no doubt the nicest special edition tractor ever created by any brand.
VinsRJ 721 #9 Posted May 1, 2013 To tell you the truth... I've got all the tractors I've wanted and can handle, LOL! But, I can always make room for another RJ.
bowtieguy 334 #11 Posted May 1, 2013 Eldon's C-520HD....
Wheel-N-It 2,967 #12 Posted May 1, 2013 (edited) Darn good question Kevin. What I would like to know is what is the largest physical size Wheel Horse ever made? Would it be thhe GT-14 or the C-195? I would like one thats a bigger size than the 300-400-500 series if possible. Ooops, I forgot aboug the D series, but right now I don't really want one of those. What about the other models??? raider10-8 9 #13 Posted May 1, 2013 if the price is right, a nice D-series with a 3 point hitch
6wheeler 577 #14 Posted May 1, 2013 A nice 420LSE would be one I would like. But a rolling D-250 chassis with 3 point and no engine is what I would really want (I could really build from that). Or a very nice C-195 with a 3 point of course. Or perhaps a Big JD, or Allis Chalmers or something like that would fit the bill as well.
wallfish 15,769 #15 Posted May 1, 2013 A Senior would make a nice addition to the collection. Unfortunately, I doubt the price would be right enough.
MalMac 1,328 #16 Posted May 1, 2013 A nice C-161 8-speed then maybe a 416 8-speed with a Kohler.
jimt1971 236 #18 Posted May 1, 2013 The Wheel Dan Rollback or a 420LSE with a mint loader.
leeave96 487 #19 Posted May 1, 2013 Without a doubt - 314-8 w/Kohler Magnum engine in it.
KATO 115 #20 Posted May 1, 2013 A nice round hood ...not fussy on year, just not a nut roaster, get one of those later hopefully. unfortunately I likely wont make it to the show !
WheelHorse79 271 #21 Posted May 1, 2013 I wouldn't mind picking up an RJ-59 (my grandparents had one). Or, a rare 1045 since they are such an unusual hybrid. I already have a 854 and C-101.
rmaynard 14,805 #22 Posted May 1, 2013 My choice would be anything with a front end loader.
SousaKerry 500 #23 Posted May 1, 2013 C-195 with loader 3 point and PTO
MarkPalmer 80 #24 Posted May 1, 2013 D-180. I've been eyeing one up for a little while now
W9JAB 156 #25 Posted May 1, 2013 I love my 856, for a verity of reasons, Big enough to do the jobs I need done. Small enough to get through yard gates. Simple enough to repair, most of the time The parts I need can be found at the local Hardware store. Time tested technology from the 60’s that Was good enough to put a man on the moon. And face it, grass and snow hasn’t changed, That much in the last forty years.
