New Guy 1st Wheel Horse

Recommended Posts

Humm

Great website. I bought a Raider 12 last week, my first Wheel Horse. I stumbled on it by accident while looking for a rear tine tiller. It came with a tiller, bottom plow, grader blade, 48" snow plow, mower deck and leaf vacumm and a bucket full of parts and pulleys for the implements. The guy bought it new in 71'. I am real happy with it. I turned over some miserable rocky unplanted ground last week and tilled it yesterday. The little machine is a bear. Since finding this website I can know what is what in the bucket for hooking up the other stuff. Thank You!

Welcome to Red Square!  Sounds like you made a good buy and are well on your way to becoming a Horse-a-holic. If you post a few photos of the stuff in the bucket we can probable ID it, or at least come with a convincing lie!

Thanks for the welcome. I'll get pictures on soon if I can get a moment to take pictures-been busy. I just put the snow plow on to push a few piles of stone. Is there any way to make it stay up other than using the height adjuster knob? I feel like I missed something.

Your photo bucket link worked great. You have more goodies than the average bear! That mid mount grader blade is a wonderful tool. It will grade anuthing flat in no time. There was a trailer tow hitch (which attaches at the rear of the Transmision but I didn't see the sleve hitch which mounts no the same 3/4 inch pin as the tow hitch and will be needed for the plow. That Trac Vac will be handy in the fall. You got lucky to get such a great package.
