zeedubbya 18 #11 Posted March 28, 2013 Yes very nice--you'll really like it! I think mine mows better than anything I've ever owned. I highly recommend doing all the maintenance first thing. 47JDG 65 #20 Posted May 6, 2013 I put a 60" inch deck on a 520-H yesterday. I raised the front end of the tractor with a chain fall and another attachment I made that fastens to the front axle, then I slid the deck under the tractor to get it into place. This method works good but it got me thinking, is this a drive over to hook up deck? I know the old Case Ingersoll decks were drive overs, and some of the big JD decks on newer compacts are as well. That deck feels like it must weigh 200 LBS. I have never looked at the manual, what is the standard procedure to put that thing on? It sure is a back breaker. MalMac 1,328 #21 Posted May 6, 2013 I have never seen it written any where about driving over the deck, When I had mine that's the way I did it. Just put some helper boards down and up and over I went. I told are local dealer that and he said thats the way they do it. Then I just use a pry bar to do the little nudge here and there. Way too heavy to slide. I suppose there are other ways but for me the drive over worked just fine. Your not going to hurt that deck. 2 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I am thinking of adding an electric lift although I can manage 48 SD deck ok. Anyone have any info for the electric lift?
