Redbird 1 #1 Posted February 7, 2013 Looking for a manual for a front mount mower we are putting on the 701. It looks something like the old rotary push moweres we used as kids. The kind with the twisted blades that rotated when you pushed it. David would really like to get it hooked up and running so he can bring it to the show this year.

TT-(Moderator) 1,127 #3 Posted February 7, 2013 Guessing you might have an LMR-3072 front mounted reel mower. The manual from Mike's site: http://www.mywheelho...es_Kit_6040.pdf
Rock farmer 41 #4 Posted February 7, 2013 (edited) I think that's referred to as a reel mower. The rotary mower is the spinning blade. Joe Edited February 7, 2013 by Rock farmer

Tankman 3,515 #6 Posted February 7, 2013 I think that's referred to as a reel mower. The rotary mower is the spinning blade. Joe WH did have a front mount for rotary mowers, reel mowers too I believe. Of course, reel mowers date back way before the rotaries. I had a lot of fun pulling gang reels with an old round hood ! Quick disconnect too, off and on with the wagon (or trailer). Simple. Sold the gang reel, now, I could use it. Something to consider with a reel mower, the more blades the cleaner the cut; i.e.: 5-blade (cheapo), 6-blade or more gives a much better cut. :-)
