glgrumpy 35 #5 Posted December 28, 2012 Looks pretty good, better than mine at start. I was gonna bid on one on epay, almost did, was in Ohio, not too far away. Only went for $325! Should have bid on it. I see seat is missing. I got all the stock parts and didn't even like it. Added springs on mine and bigger seat with arm rests and much better than stock was. More adjustable too. Nice Draw bar on this one!
Iggy68 28 #6 Posted December 28, 2012 Thanks guys. The 3 point is the main reason I'm buying it. Anybody know how much this thing weighs? Thinking of taking the S-10 to pick it up.
jay in nc 209 #7 Posted December 29, 2012 i almost bid on that one too! just a little too far up in the mountains for me to go. don't know how much a gt-14 weighs but i did bring a d-160twin with 60 in deck & big snow-plow, 3pt hitch & front & rear wheelweights home from berkley springs wv. to selma nc. behind a 86 izuzu pup 4 cly. 4speed. had to go down to third gear on some hills near winchester va. but i got him home! you should'nt have any trouble with an s10 & trailer even in the steep mountains of western NC. Iggy68 28 #9 Posted December 29, 2012 Jay it is only about an hour and twenty minutes from me. I had talked to him before he put it on eBay. There is another one in Shelby which happens to be on the way. I plan to stop and look at that one too.

Iggy68 28 #14 Posted December 29, 2012 Got it home. The PO is actually a member here. Starter is junk. The magnet lining the case is all broke up. Can they put new magnets in for that? Model # is 1 0500 6 Serial # is 790551 Any help on what year it is?

fabricator2009 48 #17 Posted December 31, 2012 looks good. I have a '69. Love it.
JackC 616 #18 Posted December 31, 2012 Nice GT14. The 3 point hitch is a real plus. Probably worth more than you paid for the whole thing, if you could even find one.
Iggy68 28 #19 Posted December 31, 2012 Stripped a bunch of parts off of it today to get it cleaned up and look for problems. Not many issues other than the normal ones from a tractor sitting a couple of years. Wiring is a mess, needs a dash plate, a seat and mounting hardware. It is missing the return spring for the brake pedal. Here are some pics of the progress.
Kelly 1,028 #20 Posted December 31, 2012 Nice score, the 3 point is a big plus, and I see it has the extra pulley to run a tiller, those are hard to find also.
Iggy68 28 #21 Posted December 31, 2012 Thanks Kelly! For 200 bucks I couldn't pass it up. Do you have any mower decks for this in your inventory?
Kelly 1,028 #22 Posted December 31, 2012 Couple ruff decks off GT14's
glgrumpy 35 #23 Posted December 31, 2012 Cute mount point for the Condesor! Plug wire kinda long, mine is short, lays along shroud. Was gonna ask about that extra pulley on trans, but see must befor a tiller then? That belt must run tight along inside fendr support then? Yours have a drive release? Can't tell in the pix. Mine didn't have the Tee handle and was a big hex head out the backside to release and no decal showing it either.
