gamaemry305 0 #1 Posted December 17, 2012 I'm starting to get around to rebuilding my K-181. I'm using a block other then the origional one and need to transfer the oil filler/dipstick tube over to the new block. My question is, Is the tube threaded or pressed in. If it is pressed in what is the best way to remove it? Thank you, Gary
Kelly 1,028 #2 Posted December 17, 2012 I have not seen a oil fill tube on the WH with 8hp engines, but on the JD engines they are press fit, all the WH 8hp engines I've seen have a screw in plug with the stick on it. But maybe your working on a Magnum engine?? I think they have the fill tube now that I think about it.
JimmyJam 516 #3 Posted December 17, 2012 Kelly is right. I have a B-80 with a K181 and it has a screw in plug. My 14hp Magnum has a dipstick/filler tube. Is the engine original to the Wheel Horse model?
