tunahead72 2,340 #2 Posted November 19, 2012 Have you tried the Toro web site? If you're sure it's a 1978 model, you'll have to enter 81-12K801 as the model number for the 8-speed, or 81-12KS01 for the automatic. You can also get parts diagrams from some of the online parts suppliers, like partstree.com. And :WRS:
Jann1965 1 #3 Posted November 19, 2012 Hi ther I just look at number 91 12kb 91. / 169651. So I am not shaw help ?
tunahead72 2,340 #4 Posted November 19, 2012 91-12K801 and 91-12K802 are the 1979 C-121 models with the 8-speed manual transmission. I think 169651 is the serial number. Does anybody else know, is that possibly one of the Belgian tractor models? I have to leave now, but I'll check the Toro site later.
Don1977 604 #5 Posted November 19, 2012 Pictures of the tractor would help to know what you have as the model number does not match the Toro number. If it is a 1979 model it should have the shaker plate engine mount. The 1979 91-12802 part list is in the Toro site on line.
tunahead72 2,340 #6 Posted November 19, 2012 The 1979 owners, service and parts manuals have just been uploaded to the Manuals section here on RedSquare, thanks to Garry (gwest_ca). They may not match your tractor exactly, but they may be close enough. Try to download them yourself, and let us know if you have any trouble with that, I'm sure somebody here can help you out. gwest_ca-(File Mod) 10,496 #8 Posted November 19, 2012 If you open the 1978-1984 tractor manuals the operator manual is also posted with the parts lists and 1978-79 service manual. The 169651 looks like a Belgium serial number as other 1979 serials recorded for 1979 range from 163175 to 188614. The US serials in 1979 range from 986 to 45085 so far. The 91 12kb 91 model number may be 91-12K891 as the 9 as a 7th digit has shown up before. The 1st 9=1979 1=garden tractor as opposed to lawn tractor which was 2 12=engine horse power K=Kohler engine 8=8 transmission speeds (they counted reverse) Last 2 digits were a parts list identifier Garry
tunahead72 2,340 #9 Posted November 19, 2012 The 91 12kb 91 model number may be 91-12K891 as the 9 as a 7th digit has shown up before. I just read in another thread that the "9" in 12K891 indicates a tractor built in Belgium (American tractors would have a "0" there).
