Next you should ad power steering sense your not using the lift cylinder the 520 originally come with. :hide: Don't want to ad more woke for you, but it would help a great deal. find a fork truck salvage yard, most come with a steering valve you can get cheep! and just ad the correct cylinder. I picked up my last valve for $20 and ended up selling if for some quick $ for $100 :banghead: Now I could use it for my loader project.

Joe,

I picked up a set of those same front tires recently for my 416-H. Makes a huge difference with the snowblower on. I may have to do some adjusting next spring when the mower deck goes back on, but I will deal with that then.

Nice looking job and excellent work on the tractor and loader.

That 520 sure came out nice and you did a great job on loader too. I built

one for a GT-14 and use it all the time. They sure save the back alot. great job.

I had a few questions about the subframe and pump mounting, The frame is straight 1 1/2 square tube 15 3/8 wide. The pump bracket is 11" tall x 4 wide.

The pump swivels on the rear bolt and the front bolt is slotted. The belt is an A27 (29"). I added two angle clips in frame as a precaution. One of these can be seen in the background of the frist picture.

Picked up this old 520H in Ohio. She was pretty rough. The plan was to clean up and make a mini loader to use around the yard. I have a D series loader that works pretty well but it is just too big.

After a bath, tuning, some sand blast and paint, It started to look good. Installed a Matt860 Hydro pedal kit, upgraded the front axles to 1", new tries, weights, and used plans from PF engineering as the starting point for the loader. I modified the plan to have more bucket roll back when in the lower positon. (This does sacrifice the dump side at the raised position), I found a happy medium between the two without fancy linkage. I still have some fine tuning, the hydraulics are way too fast, at least on the boom lower. Looking into a flow control now.

Thanks for looking,

Joe

You wouldn't happen to have any pics of this fine machine from the side with the bucket sitting flat on the ground?  I'm having a few clearance issues with the PF plan and want to see how yours fits together.  My arms are too close to my front tires due to the front swept axle and the oversized front tires I'm using.

Thanks,

Craig
