Im guessing someone like UPS freight could handle the shipping but i can only assume the cost would be through the roof.

Welcome Jens! B)

It is indeed a special honor that you join us from half a world away.

Guten tag und Vie gehts!

I know you have found the best group on the internet for Wheel Horse!

And yes I believe there is someone here who can help you!

I have no personal experience with your model, but I have heard of it many times.

There will be someone along soon who can help you I am sure.

We look forward to hearing more of your nice tractor and to hear how you use it.

There is much information in the postings here...

I know to send a mower deck to Germany would be expensive. They are very heavy.

There is a member in England...I cannot remember his nickname. I wonder if he has a source there for a mower deck?

Bitte....if you can....post some pictures!

TchuSS!!

Jens you are our first German member Welcome to RedSquare. I have heard that there is a recycler kit for the 48" SD mower, but I have never seen one. The more popular (but still hard to find) is the 42" RD with Recycler. I have one as well as a few others. Mine is not for sale. There is a member here from Denmark and several from the UK which would be easier on the shipping.

If you find one here in the US, I am sure we could find folks who could possibly help get it packed and shipped.

I also assume that your 316-8 is the same as ours. Check the gallery to be certain and that it takes the tach-a-matic attachment, although I am sure it does.

Well Karl I do not believe his model is exactly like ours.

From what I have read.....they are deisel powered!

But that would not interfere with finding a mower deck.

I did a google search and found several horses in Germany listed.

 , Jens!

I can't help you with a mower deck, but have you tried to find a Toro dealer in your country? Maybe you could contact them directly through Toro.com?

Mike, a 316-8 was an "export" model made here in the USA from 1988 to 1992. They were also sold here, but there aren't many around.

Here's the specs:

And here's a picture of one with a rotary broom (In Denmark, I think. B) ):

Hello WH-Fans,

it makes me happy that you have welcome me. This Forum is really good.

My 316-8 has the Number B1-16o802. It has a Onan Performer 16HP Motor with 2 Cylinder.

The system for mounting the deck is named Atach-a-matic. I will make fotos this afternoon, so you

can see how it looks.

I have asked our local Torodealers for parts but he sayed to me, that it is never possible to get parts for this old modell. Toro is best-known in Germany, but Wheel Horse is once in a blue moon.

Before i get this tractor it was used to shovel snow with the 42" shield. Nobody looked for the oil level, so the engine has blocked after 110 hours of work. The enterprise hasn

The mower attachments for the 315 Classic will fit your 316 and should still be available new. (hopefully in Germany too)

Here are some model numbers you can take to your dealer:

78305 36" Rear Discharge Mower

78345 42" Side Discharge Mower

78350 42" Rear Discharge Mower (Can be equipped with Recycler Kit)

78361 48" Side Discharge Mower (Can be equipped with Recycler Kit)

I'm sure if you work with an export shipper here in the USA you could have a new deck shipped to you. Plan to spend a lot of money though. B)

Wheel Horse is once in a blue moon.

He is familiar with our expression.... that is interesting to me.

Just a thought. If you have any friends in the U.S. military who are stationed over there they may be able to get something shipped as personal property through the military? B)

Was stationed at Zweibrucken AB, (West) Germany back in 1979-1981. It was my first visit to a foreign country and I must say, the most beautiful one I have ever seen so far and I have been to many!!! You have a great tractor and hope you find some attachments...

There was a Wheel Horse Club in Denmark until their clubhouse burned down about 3 years ago. They did lose some of their tractors but most their tractors were not in that clubhouse fire.

Our contact for them is: Ole Skou (oleskou@post5.tele.dk)

To see their old site: http.//web.archive.org/web/*wheelhorse.dk

Ole may be able to help you in the right direction to finding something.

Good Luck

I see that a 42" deck (part number 78350) on PartsTree.com is 480+ dollars.

That is a complete deck is it not? That would not be a price for only the deck shell?

Jens,

I think you will find Americans are like most people, there are some very friendly ones, and ones not so friendly. You just happen to run across this site which, for the most part, are one of the friendliest on the internet. Great bunch of people here.

I was stationed in Germany in 1980-1982 when I was in the army. I was stationed in Fulda. Nice area, nice town. I didn't see any Wheel Horses there, though. B)

78350 is the model number of the deck. You'd have to call your dealer for current pricing.

P/N 92-7292 is a new shell (with decals) for $480.28 - not a complete deck.

A complete deck is about twice that amount.

Hello,

today i give our local toro dealer the part numbers 78350 and 78361. He said that there are a lot of different models with these numbers, so he need the ID and Serialnumber of my WH. But when i give him these, he will say that the mowerdecks aren't going on my modell because it's from the year 1989. Does anybody know wich serial range of this mowerdecks are attachable on my WH?

Jens, one of the best things about a Wheel Horse is how interchangeable the parts are. Your Wheel Horse will be able to accept wide assortment of decks made from from 1973 until 2007 when they stopped making them. Maybe we can work this in reverse. If your dealer can give you the deck model number we can tell you if it will fit.

I will be on the look out for a deck.

Like Karl said...if it is made for "Tach a matic" then it should work.

It does not have to be from the same year range. But you might

have to go without recycler option.

It may take some time.

Maybe you can place advertizement in your newspaper for Wheel Horse

attachments? Someone might answer. You might end up with another

tractor too!
