WHEEL HORSE MODEL 800 1970?

Recommended Posts

camryn

Hi, I just acquired what I was told is a Model 800, year 1970.

I'm looking to see if anyone can verify the model, and also looking for the correct dash decals/plate for it.

I attached some pictures of the tractor.

Thanks for the help!

Dave

Here's a link to another thread on the forum with a good enlargeable picture and some good information about your 800....

hope this helps.. :)

Well it appears there are other 800 models I forgot about,, and you don't really say which you have, the Commando 800 or the 800 Auto.

Here's a pic of the 800 Auto... http://www.google.co....r:0,s:0,i:77

As mentioned in the other thread you will need the model number off the tag for accurate identification.

i don't think it's a commando800. briggs engine 12 in. rear tires. commando 800 should have kohler k181 & 10 in. rear tires & 6 in. front tires. maybe it's a workhorse 800 with a briggs swap. anyone mor versed than me want to guess? anyway nice tractor,be happy! Jay

I'd say it's a 1971 800 Special with some modifications?

I think it's a '71 800 special. The extra framing is to mount the Peerlis transmission that this model uses.
