I moved this to the attachments section. B)

You might want to provide a little more information (or a photo) when you ask a "how much is it worth" question.

For example:

Is it rusty or nice, single-stage or two stage, short cable chute or tall worm gear chute, 32" 36", or 42" ?????? (see what I mean?)

25 years old dates it to 1983. If it is a "standard-issue" 42" thrower, you should be able to get a decent deal on it. (especially this time of year)

Generally, you can expect to pay anywhere from $5 to $1500 for a snowthrower / snowblower.

ok...I see what you mean...this is a hard question to answer.

It is a 34" cut blower (according to the add) model and it is currently attached to a gt2500 anniv.

gt2500 w/blower

this fellow is asking 750 for the whole shootin' match. I would like to make a fair offer on just the blower but do not know where to start.

there is a kinda rusty one on ebay for $100

ebay snowblower

does this help to answer a loaded, wholey arbitrary question about a snowblower in the middle of summer B)

and my wife says I am sometimes a pain in the B) well you understand by now I guess B)

I appreciate all the help...and in the future I will try to put posts where they belong

thanks- Matt

I suspect that he is going to want more than the blower is worth. That is a 42" blower without the drift cutters. I'm not sure if they sold them without it or not. Me personally, I wouldn't go more than $100 for that blower, but looking at the price of the tractor with the deck and blower I suspect he would want more for that.

Well I'm pretty sure the rusty one on E-bay wont fit your tractor so that ones out. The one on the GT-2500 will fit. There are wings available for the blower that bolt on to eack side that will give you a 42" clearing path.

Heres one of my blowers with the wings( I think Karl was right calling them drift cutters). This gives me a 42" path.

Mike, those look like pretty wide "drift cutters" (love that term).

Did you bend them out to get an advantage over the rest of us??? B)

At least we're still talking about snowthrowers!

Any other time, we'd be talking about ICE CREAM or oil by now!
