HokieAg07 129 #1 Posted August 7, 2012 Noticed the vac gauge on my new 520 isnt working, havent dug into it yet but do these gauges themselves go bad?
zieg72 209 #2 Posted August 7, 2012 Probably the hose going to it has been disconnected
Save Old Iron 1,563 #3 Posted August 7, 2012 if the tubing apears ok, the 520 gauge can be checked by plugging a regular automotive fuel pressure / vac gauge onto the same hose. If the auto gauge works and the 520 does not - defective 520 gauge. Also, with the engine running, you should be able to feel a strong vacuum at the hose end connected to the gauge. HokieAg07 129 #4 Posted August 8, 2012 Gauge is bad, have plenty of vacuum on the tube. Looks like replacing the gauge or any gauges for that matter will be quite fun, looks like lift lever and motion lever both have to come out?
